Obtain a birth, death, or marriage certificate

Certificates not picked up within three (3) months of the date of application will be mailed out to the address given on the application and will not be the responsibility of the office.

There is a Vital Statistics Unit located in each major hospital of which there are one per district except Cayo district which has two: one in Belmopan City, and one in San Ignacio Town.

Step By Step

1. Fill the request form.
2. Take your documents and payment to your local vital statistics unit office.
3. Wait the respective processing time.
4. Return to the Vital Statistics Unit office with your receipt to receive your certificate.
