Nationalized Belizean/Permanent Residency

If an applicant has obtained Belizean Nationality, he/she must bring along this document and his/her passport. If an applicant has obtained Belizean Permanent Residence, he/she must bring along this document and his/her passport.

Foreigners

Foreigners must apply in person and must ensure to bring along copies of his/her passport’s (bio-data) pages and all Immigration Stamps (extensions) whilst living in Belize and must have a valid Immigration extension to reside in the country, at the time of applying, If an applicant has not resided in Belize for a period of over 6 months, that applicant will receive a Special Police Record.For the applicant to obtain the regular Police Record of Conduct, he / she must has resided in Belize for a period greater than 6 months.If the application is for a Foreigner living abroad, but had resided in Belize for a period greater than 6 months, he / she must have an authority signed and stamped by a notary public in the name of the person who will be applying on his/her behalf and must be accompanied by a notarized copy of his/her Passport(bio-data) pages and all Immigration Stamps(extensions) whilst living in Belize and the authorized person must present his/her Passport or Social Security Card.

Belizeans

If an applicant is a Belizean and cannot make the application in person, then he/she must write an authorization for the person, he/she wishes to apply on his/her behalf, no application will be received without the authority and the authority should be accompanied by the Applicants Valid Passport or Social Security Card and the authorized person must present his/her Passport or Social Security Card. If the application is for a Belizean living abroad, the authority must be signed and stamped by a notary public in the Foreign Country in which the applicant is currently residing and will be accompanied by a notarized copy of his/her Passport and the authorized person must present his/her Passport or Social Security Card.

Cost

$12.00 for two week service
$25.00 for one day service (Belmopan office only)

Step By Step

  1. Take the required items to your local police department.
  2. Pay the application fee.
  3. Wait the respective duration.
  4. Return to your local police department with receipt in hand to retrieve police record.

Requirements

  • Three (3) recent passport sized photographs.
  • Filled in application form.
  • Application fee.
  • Identification document (eg. social security, passport)
