Acquiring Nationality Through Descent

Details:
- Maximum of two mistakes – no liquid paper allow – a line must be drawn through the mistake and initials placed next to the mistake.
- Parent’s Signature must be as on the ID provided.
- The justice of the Peace must sign and date application form.
- If the birth certificate is not in English, an original translation is required.
- Names on Birth Certificates/Passport/Other IDs must be spelt correctly.
- Original documents must be provided and all copies certified.
- Status of Application – a query can made 6 weeks after submission.
Requirements
- Filled out DINS-N1 application form
- One copy of Birth Certificate of Subject which clearly identifies parents
- One copy of Birth Certificate, Passport or document establishing Belizean Nationality of parent/grandparent/husband through whom the claim is being made.
- Declaration overleaf affirming the relationship and witnesses by a Justice of the Peace ($1.50 in stamps must be affixed).
- Three (3) photographs.
- Medical Examination Certificate Form.
- Payment in cash.
- Marriage Certificate (if married).
Step By Step
- Gather and take all required items to the nationality station.
- Wait the process duration.
- Return to the nationality station to retrieve items.
